Zelinda Yañez and Emily Hardeman are the co-founders of Professional Yoga Teachers.
Zelinda Yañez, E-RYT-200, is the founder of The Yoga Room in Round Rock, TX, and a lead teacher in the 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program. Prior to becoming a yoga teacher and studio owner, Zelinda’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering led her to a 10 year career in the high tech industry, where she worked in manufacturing, program management, and marketing roles.
Zelinda has taught more than 2000 hours of yoga instruction since 2008, in various settings including corporate environments, corporate fitness centers, public schools, dance studios, and churches. She enjoys teaching very diverse populations, and has significant experience teaching yoga for special needs in public schools, yoga for Multiple Sclerosis, and yoga for people who live with chronic pain and other health issues.
Emily Hardeman is the director of The Yoga Room’s 200 Hour and Advanced Teacher Training programs. Emily is an E-RYT-500, Certified Yoga Therapist, and Licensed Massage Therapist, who has completed over 2500 hours of yoga teacher training. Before she began teaching yoga, Emily was a paralegal.
Emily has taught yoga since 2008 and is the co-founder and previous owner of an Austin yoga studio. She was the first teacher hired at The Yoga Room in December, 2010, and she has taught over 3500 hours of yoga in various settings including studios, gyms, fitness centers, corporate offices, birthing centers, and acupuncture clinics. In addition to teaching yoga for general populations and people dealing with the common effects of aging, Emily serves a variety of populations including people who are rehabbing from surgery or injury, people who are dealing with fertility issues, chronic pain, chronic stress, and joint replacement, the elderly, and professional athletes.
